Inclusion Criteria
Patients of Amavata having any four of the cardinal features of Amavata i.e.Gaurav,
Sandhishula, Sandhishotha, SandhiStabdhata, Sparshaasahyata, agnidaurbalya will be
included for the present study from the patients coming to the IPD of AIIA. Willing to participate in the study
Exclusion Criteria
Psychiatric illness, DM, gout, known case of carcinoma, pregnant and lactating mother will be
excluded from the study.

Name Time Method To Develop a Validate Ama Assessment Scale (AAS) for the patients of Amavata based on the <br/ ><br>parameters mentioned in Ayurveda texts.Timepoint: 1 year

Name Time Method 1. To record and analyse the values of some biochemical markers in patients of Amavata and <br/ ><br>controls in relation to level of Ama. <br/ ><br>2.To document the behaviour of Taila bindu pareeksha in early morning urine sample of <br/ ><br>Amavata patients and healthy controls and analyze it in relation to level of Ama <br/ ><br>3.To study the growth of E. coli, Salmonella, Streptococcus pyogenes strains in the Amavata <br/ ><br>patients and healthy controls and analyse it in relation to level of Ama. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 1 year
