Inclusion Criteria

Adults 18-70 years old, sheduled for inguinal hernia repair in Ludvika Hospital, after patient information requierd from regional ethical committee.

Exclusion Criteria

Allergy against paracetamol, NSAID, salicylic acid, sulfonamide, betamethasone.
Heart failure, kidney failure, active gastro-duodenal ulcus, serious gastrointestinal bleeding previously, liver failure, active infection, tuberculosis, psychosis, diabetes mellitus, pregnancy, breast feeding, serious systemic disease, diuretic medication, ACE-inhibitor medication.

Main Objective: Betamethasone´s effect on postoperative pain, discomfort, wellbeing after operations for inguinal hernia repair.;Secondary Objective: Betamethasone´s effect on long lasting pain after operations for inguinal hernia repair.;Primary end point(s): Evaluation of one group treated with active substance betamethasone and other group treated with placebo will be made after 400 patients.
