Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients diagnosed with HFrEF, regardless of etiology
2. Receiving optimal medical treatment for heart failure
3. Age = 16 years
4. Able to speak and read the Dutch language
Exclusion Criteria
1. Permanent atrial heart rhythm disturbances
2. Hemodynamic significant valvular disease
3. Cardiac ischemia or chest pain when performing submaximal exercise
4. Neurological, orthopedic or peripheral vascular conditions preventing the patient from exercising
