ANXIETY IS COMMON AMONG PATIENTS UNDERGOING SURGERIES. ANXIETY HAS A DETRIMENTAL EFFECT ON PATIENTS AND THEIR WELL BEING. MUSIC RELAXES AND ALLAYS ANXIETY. THIS STUDY COMPARES THE EFFECT OF TWO TYPES OF MUSIC IN REDUCING ANXIETY AND IMPROVING OVERALL WELLBEING AND EXPERIENCE OF THE PATIENT.

Exclusion Criteria
1. Hearing defects or any ear abnormalities
2. Patients with psychiatric disorders
3. Patients not willing to participate

Name Time Method 1. Reduction in postoperative anxiety and pain using visual analogue anxiety scale (VAAS) and visual analogue pain SCALE (VAPS). <br/ ><br>2. Improved overall patient satisfaction using 10point Likert scale.Timepoint: 1. VAAS and VAPS at 1hr, 6hrs and 24hrs postoperative. <br/ ><br>2. Overall patient satisfaction at 24hrs postoperatively.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Intraoperative hemodynamic stability measuring heart rate, Blood pressure, need for vasopressors. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Hemodynamic parameters measured at 5 minute intervals to end of surgery. <br/ ><br>;Postoperative nausea and vomiting using PONV scaleTimepoint: PONV scale at 1hr, 6hrs and 24hrs postoperatively
