Name Time Method Feasibility of the training intervention is measured by recruitment number/rate, drop-out rate and adherence to training sessions.
The primary outcome is the feasibility of the training intervention (resistance, coordination and aerobic training) in a retirement home. The primary feasibility outcomes include total number of recruited subjects, recruitment rate, drop-out rate, adherence, and side effects.
Feasibility criteria for a successful pilot study are
1. Recruitment of 35 participants within 6 months
2. Drop-Out Rate < 40% within 6 months exercise
3. Adherence: 50% participants take part in at least 50% of offered training sessions. Side effects are documented, if they occur in connection with the training.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Physical performance (muscle strength):
Muscle strength (muscle weakness) is assessed by a handgrip test (kg).

Physical performance (submaximal level of funtional capacity):
Physical performance is assessed by a self-paced 6-min-walk-test (distance in meter).

Cardiometabolic risk factors:
Cardiometabolic risk factors are determined by metabolic risk indicators (lipids, glucose) and by inflammatory markers (e.g. hsCRP).

Cognitive function:
Cognitive function is measured by clock drawing test by Shulman.

Quality of Life:
The quality of life is assessed by WHO-5 Well-Being Index.

Falls and Fear of falling:
Falls and Fear of falling are assessed by questionnaire.
In addition, the motivation and the training-related self-efficacy of the participants as well as aspects of user acceptance are documented.

Fall risk:
Fall risk is measured by a fall risk assessment.

Time frame: 6 months (3 examinations: at the beginning, after 3 and 6 months)
