简要总结

This study investigates the effectiveness of Pilates versus Swiss ball core training on dynamic balance and core stability in football players with functional ankle instability (FAI). Functional ankle instability is common after repeated ankle sprains and leads to impaired proprioception, neuromuscular control, balance deficits, and reduced sports performance.

The research is designed as a comparative experimental study conducted over 6 weeks, involving 40 male football players (18–35 years) with FAI, randomly allocated into two groups:

• Group A: Pilates-based core training

• Group B: Swiss ball core training

Both groups continue regular football training alongside the intervention.

Dynamic balance is assessed using the Y-Balance Test, and core stability is evaluated using the McGill Core Endurance Tests, measured at baseline and after the intervention period. Statistical analysis will determine within-group and between-group differences, with significance set at p < 0.05.

The study aims to identify which core training method is more effective in improving balance and core stability, thereby contributing to evidence-based rehabilitation strategies, reducing reinjury risk, and enhancing performance in football players with functional ankle instability.
