Brief Summary

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Motivational Interviewing (MI) on probationer progress over a 6-month period, using probation officers as the MI providers.

Inclusion Criteria
  1. Participants must be on felony probation.
  2. Participants must be English speaking.
  3. Participants must be classified as medium or high-risk.
  4. Participants must be placed on a non-specialized caseload.
  5. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Exclusion Criteria
  1. Does not speak English.
  2. Is less than 18 years old.
  3. Is not on felony probation.
  4. Is not classified as medium or high-risk.
  5. Is placed on a specialized caseload.
