- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Based on a modified instruction regarding disease-related conversations, communication deficits in these kinds of situations are assessed online on Insecure Questionnaire U-24 (Albani et al., 2006). In addition, questions about quantity and quality of disease-related conversations in daily situations (professional, private as well as public environment) are surveyed. To differentiate behaviour in the role of the invalid (daily disease-related conversations) from behaviour in the role of the patient (physician-patient-communication) behaviour during medical consultation is evaluated with the KoKo-Questionnaire. To serve as control variables personality characteristics with BFI-10 (Rammstedt & John, 2007), sociodemographic measures as well as duration and severity of the disease are assessed.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Further participants, also online, rate the U-24 with its original instruction. Thus, communication deficits of people with rheumatic diseases can be assessed in non-disease-related situations.
