Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patient with locally advanced adenocarcinoma of the rectum, stage IIA and above, i.e, T3 and above or any T with positive lymph node
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Age less than 18 years and above 65 years 2\. Metastatic rectal carcinoma 3\.Recurrent rectal carcinoma 4\.Concomitant malignancies 5\.Rectal tumor above 10 cm from anal verge on rigid sigmoidoscopy 6\.Impairment of renal function test 7\.Previous history of pelvic radiation 8\.Pregnancy/ lactation 9\.Concurrent uncontrolled medical conditions 10\.Inflammatory bowel disease 11\.Unfit for surgery 12\.Contraindications for MRI
