Those who can comprehend the nature of study and provide a written informed consent.
Those who meet DSM-5 criteria for PTSD at initial assessment as assessed by PTSD Checklist-5(PCL-5) and Clinician administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5(CAPS-5).
The patients should have been stabilized on pharmacological treatment.
Those who can read,write and speak kannada or English.
Individuals with current psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder with current episode mania/ severe depressive episode, current substance use/substance dependence not in remission for at least 1 month except Nicotine Use/Dependence.
Individuals with serious suicidal risk as assessed on MINI 7.02.
Individuals diagnosed with Intellectual Disability(as per the clinical evaluation and file diagnosis).
Individuals with neurological illnesses, history of head injury, history suggestive of organicity.
Individuals currently undergoing individual/family therapy.
Individuals exposed to structured psychological intervention for PTSD in the past 6 months.
Those who are not willing to participate in the study.
Individuals with ongoing trauma.
Individuals with uncontrollable dissociative episodes, panic attacks and those who are not amenable for the therapy.
