Overview
Brief Summary
In children receiving surgery, intraoperative insertion of EPICs is a feasible and effective procedure. Our results indicate superior outcomes in the EPIC group. EPICs succeeded in reducing postoperative IV cannulations and the incidence of catheter failure, thus providing a higher quality of care. Parental satisfaction was greatly improved with EPICs.
