1)Systemically healthy participants .
2) Presence of physiologic gingival pigmentation (Score =1 on Melanin pigmentation index by Kumar et al.).
3) Participants with a gingival index score = 1.( Loe and silness).
1) Pregnant and lactating mothers.
2) Usage of chlorohexidine or povidone iodine mouthwash.
3) Participants under medication that can cause gingival pigmentation.
4) Participants who use any form of tobacco.
5) Known hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid .
6) Participants who had undergone depigmentation procedures previously.
7) Pigmentation due to exogenous source (eg. lead, mercury, silver, arsenic etc.,)

Name Time Method To compare wound healing after Vitamin C and diode laser depigmentation.Timepoint: 1 week post-op;To evaluate Repigmentation after Vitamin C and diode laser depigmentation.Timepoint: 1 month, 3 months and 6 months post op.
