Inclusion Criteria
All children aged 1 month to 18 years who are intubated and placed on mechanical ventilation.
Exclusion Criteria
Children on NIV.
Children who are hemodynamically unstable.
Children who are already on High Frequency Oscillatory ventilation.
Children with large pleural effusions, Children with ICD in situ, empyema, Ascites, Intra abdominal hypertension ( >12mmHg), Mediastinal mass.
Refusal of consent to participate in study.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The Mechanical power and driving pressures calculated from the displayed parameters across the two modes (VC and PRVC) and at two tidal volumes (4ml/kg and 6ml/kg body weight) shall be compared.Timepoint: 18 months
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The parameters of Peak inspiratory pressure, inspiratory time, Airway resistance, compliance shall be compared between the two modes of ventilators at two tidal volumes <br/ ><br>Impact of the modes on Saturation, Hemodynamics and patient comfort also shall be analyzed.Timepoint: 18 months
