1.Patient with chronic periodontitis as clinically evidenced by gingivitis together with mild to moderate periodontal pockets
2.Clinically and radiographically evidence of bone loss
3.Should have at least probing depth of more than 5mm.
1.Patients with ongoing antibiotic therapy
2.Patients with systemic diseases history of diabetes, liver and kidney disease, neurological deficiencies
3.Pregnancy, lactating and smoking
4.Patients undergone surgical or nonsurgical therapy with in 6 months prior the study.
5.Patients with periapical abscess or periodontal abscess.
6.Patients who are deemed to be uncooperative.
7.Patients with poor oral hygiene.
