- Brief Summary
Aim:To assess the efficacy of saline hysterography in the evaluation of menorrhagia.2)To evaluate the information derived from vaginal ultrasonography.3)To compare both the modalities to assess which is a more informative procedure.
Primary objective : To acertain the accuracy and detective ability of intrauterine pathology by saline infusion sono hysterography and vaginal ultrasonography in cases of menorrhagia .
Secondary objective : To evaluate if saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS) can be used as an adjuvant to TVS to improve the accuracy of diagnosis of intracavitatory pathologies like submucous fibroid ,endometrial polyp.

Patients with abnormal uterine bleeding in reproductive and perimenopausal age group.
1.Patients suspected to have endometrial carcinoma 2.Patients with pelvic inflammatory disease 3.Patients with possibility of pregnancy 4.Puberty menorrhagia 5.Patients with severe cervical stenosis due to previous history of surgeries on the cervix 6.Unmarried women.
