This study is a  single arm, clinical interventional study to determine the effectiveness of Individualized Homoeopathic Medicines in Chronic hoarseness that will be conducted in OPD, IPD  of Department of Practice of medicine at National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health, Kottayam. The primary outcome measures will be, the reduction in the severity of symptoms; assessed using the GRBASI every monthly. The secondary outcome will be, the changes in the VOICE HANDICAP INDEX every  month. As the study  is one of its kind, it aims to make the efforts to offer possibilities for future research in the effectiveness of Individualized Homoeopathic Medicines in chronic hoarseness.

入选标准

  • Age group between 18-60 years of both sexes
  • Patients with rough, husky voice.
  • Patients with hoarseness lasting more than 14 days.

排除标准

  • Patients with underlying immune deficiencies, carcinoma.
  • Patients with congenital malformation of larynx
  • Chronic tobacco use and heavy alcohol use
  • Pregnant and lactating women
  • Patients with serious systemic illness
  • Patients with abnormal TSH value.

结局指标

主要结局

Changes in GRBASI score after administration of IHM

时间窗: every 4 weeks, from baseline till the conclusion of the study at 6th month.

次要结局

  • Changes in the voice handicap index score after administering the IHM(once every 4 weeks, from baseline till the conclusion of the study at 6th month.)
