Adult asthma patients over the age of 19
Patients who have been treated for more than 1 year after being diagnosed with asthma by a specialist
Severe asthma per the 2014 ATS/ERS guidelines at the time of enrollment;
- Asthma that is not continuously controlled despite GINA step 4-5 drug treatment
- Asthma that is not controlled when ICS/OCS is reduced even though it is controlled with GINA step 4-5 drug treatment
Severe respiratory diseases other than asthma, such as tuberculosis destructive lung disease and interstitial lung disease
Severe mental illness that can impede research, such as schizophrenia
Severe systemic disease (chronic renal failure requiring dialysis, severe liver disease, heart disease)
When continuous oral steroid administration is required for other diseases
