简要总结

Non-specific neck pain (NSNP) is a widespread musculoskeletal issue that significantly impacts daily function and quality of life. Characterized by pain in the cervical region without an identifiable cause, NSNP often results from factors like poor posture, prolonged screen time, or muscular imbalances. Although conservative treatments exist, the effectiveness of various manual therapy techniques remains under debate.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a manual therapy that uses specialized tools to address soft tissue restrictions. It promotes tissue healing through controlled mechanical stimulation, which improves blood flow, breaks down adhesions, and enhances muscle flexibility. Despite growing popularity, limited research has explored the immediate effects of IASTM on pain, range of motion (ROM), and neck function in NSNP populations.

This study investigates the immediate and short-term (48-hour) impact of IASTM using the Rockblade tool on adults with NSNP. Outcome measures include the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), cervical ROM via goniometry, and the Neck Disability Index (NDI). The study aims to provide clinical evidence on the effectiveness of IASTM as a targeted intervention for managing NSNP.
