Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • American society of anesthesiology (ASA) 1, 2, 3
  • Age: 19\-70 yrs
  • Patients undergoing hip arthroplasty

Exclusion Criteria

  • Clinically significant coagulopathy
  • Infection at the injection site
  • Allergy to local anesthetics
  • Severe cardiopulmonary disease(\=American society of anesthesiology (ASA) physical status 4\)
  • Body mass index \> 35
  • Diabetic or other neuropathies
  • Patients receiving opioids for chronic analgesic therapy
  • Patients who have refused intravenous patient controlled analgesia (PCA)
  • Inability to comprehend visual analogue scale (VAS) score and patient controlled analgesia (PCA) device
  • Patient who does not want to receive quadratus lumborum block
