- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method We intend to demonstrate that diamino silver fluoride has a superior performance to the control (placebo) and chlorhexidine combined with xylitol, with significant differences (p value less than or equal to 0.05) not referring to the reduction of scores of the International System of Caries Detection and Assessment (ICDAS-II) among the selection groups.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method We expect to find a reduction in the levels of salivary mutans streptococci with statistically significant differences (p value less than or equal to 0.05) when comparing the group treated with silver diamino fluoride (treatment group), the control group (placebo) and the treatment group with chlorhexidine combined with xylitol (alternative treatment).
