children with failure to thrive; moderate wasting; having weight for length Z score less than -2 and equal or greater than -3 according to WHO criteria; without underlying disease; age range between12-18 months
Exclusion criteria: any history of acute or chronic disease; history of congenital anomalies or genetic diseases; history of allergy and asthma ; lack of consent of parent to continue the project; having weight for length Z score less than -3; child´s absence at two consecutive follow-up time
