Clinical study of aqueous humor metabolites using Raman spectroscopy

- Lead Sponsor
- Kurihara Toshihide
- Brief Summary
The system, the first in the world to capture and spectroscopy Raman scattering light due to molecular vibrations of aqueous humor metabolites, was used in humans, and its safety was confirmed. In addition, we succeeded in obtaining in vivo aqueous humor Raman spectra and generally significant water Raman peak data. The cases in which spectra equivalent to the reference were not obtained were presumed to be due to poor introduction of excitation light because the instrument lens did not reach the cornea.
