All patients between the ages of 18 and 60 , of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical class I and II, undergoing elective surgery and in whom propofol based induction is planned.
1. Patients with severe hypotension
2. Patients planned for rapid sequence intubation, pregnant patients
3. Patients requiring IV sedation/opiods before surgery ( eg. cardiovascular co-morbidities)
4. Patients with difficult venous access, thin calibre veins.
5. Patients with known allergy to egg proteins
