1.Male or female patients, aged 19 years or older with fascial space infection of odontogenic origin.
2.Any carious/ periodontally compromised teeth which can be considered as foci of infection.
3.Patients falling in ASA class 1, 2 and 3.
4.Patients willing for procedure and subsequent follow ups.
1.Patients falling in ASA class 4 and 5.
2.Patents who are on oral / I.V antibiotic therapy prior to blood investigations.
3.Patients on long term steroids.
4.Patients who are pregnant.
5.Patients with facial space infection of non odontogenic origin.
6.Patients previously radiated maxillofacial region.
7.Patents who are not willing to give consent.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Patient’s CBC, ESR, CRP and serum procalcitonin levels will be evaluated on 1st day followed by incision and drainage and /or extraction of offending tooth. Patient’s post operative levels of CBC, ESR, CRP and serum procalcitonin will be evaluated on the 5th day after interventionTimepoint: 1st day , 5th day
