Cervicogenic Headache, unilateral or unilateral dominant side-consistent headache associated with neck pain and aggravated by neck postures or movement, joint tenderness in at least one of the upper three cervical joints as detected by manual palpation, headache frequency of at least one per week over a period of 2 months to 10 years (Sjaastad et al., 1998).

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Participants: patients with cervicogenic headache
  • age: 18\-70 years, sex: f/m, unilateral or unilateral dominant side\-consistent headache associated with neck pain and aggravated by neck postures or movement, joint tenderness in at least one of the upper three cervical joints as detected by manual palpation, headache frequency of at least one per week over a period of 2 months to 10 years (Sjaastad et al., 1998\).

Exclusion Criteria

  • bilateral headaches (typifying tension headache), features suggestive of migraine, any condition that might contraindicate manipulative therapy, involvement in litigation or workers’ compensation, physiotherapy/osteopathic/chiropractic treatment for headache in the previous 2 months, traumatic brain injuries
