Study Overview
Brief Summary
Gingival recession is a common periodontal condition that can affect esthetics, root sensitivity, and oral health–related quality of life. Minimally invasive surgical techniques have been introduced to manage multiple gingival recession defects with reduced patient morbidity. The present randomized clinical trial aims to compare the clinical effectiveness of Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access (VISTA) and Pinhole Surgical Technique in the management of multiple gingival recession defects using Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) membrane.
Systemically healthy patients presenting with multiple gingival recession defects will be randomly allocated into two groups. Group I will be treated using the VISTA technique with PRF membrane, while Group II will undergo the Pinhole Surgical Technique with PRF membrane. Clinical parameters including recession depth, recession width, clinical attachment level, width of keratinized gingiva, gingival thickness, and patient-reported outcomes will be assessed at baseline and at follow-up intervals. The study aims to evaluate & compare the clinical effectiveness of VISTA technique and PST in achieving predictable root coverage.

Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients who consent to participate in the study.
- •Adults aged 18–50 years.
- •Presence of at least 20 teeth 4) Good systemic health.
- •Presence of multiple adjacent gingival recession defects with Miller’s class I & II recessions (more than equal to 2 or more teeth).
- •Adequate plaque control (FMPS less than 20percent and FMBS less than 15percent).
Exclusion Criteria
- •Smokers or former smokers (quit less than 12 months ago) 2) Patient with relevant systemic disease.
- •History of periodontal surgery in the affected areas in last 1year.
- •Pregnant/ lactating women.
- •History of antibiotic therapy in last 6 months.
- •Patients with presence of occlusal interferences such as malposition or rotated teeth.
- •Presence of gingival recession with caries, restoration or with pulpal pathology.
