Patients should
1)have two but not more than four extended-size proximal carious lesions in the posterior teeth,
2)have a healthy periodontal status (patients with a gingival index range of 0.28-0.35, plaque index range of 0.08-0.16,22 and zero bleeding on probing were included23),
3)present a good likelihood of recall availability,
4)have teeth in which the restoration must be in occlusion, and
5) be symptomless and vital.
1)partially erupted teeth
2)potential behavioral problems
3)unhealthy periodontal status
4)systemic diseases
5)absence of adjacent and antagonist teeth
6)Teeth with cavity depth with 3 mm or greater or a carious pulpal exposure if found
