Inclusion Criteria

employees who has worked more than one year in a car battery industry, blood lead levels of 200-500 µg/L
Exclusion criteria: family history of allergy to penicillin and drugs that have cross-sensitivity to penicillin, antimalarial drugs and gold salt, history of agranolocytosis or anemia in previous use of penicillamine, known heart, liver or renal failure, hypersensitivity to garlic, hemorrhagic diathesis, elective surgery during and 10 days after the consumption of garlic, using antibiotics or anticoagulant drugs

Method of measurement: by atomic absorption device, model Perkin Elmer 3030, through the technique of Heated Graphite Atomization.;Signs and symptoms.
