简要总结

This randomized clinical trial aims to compare the effects of McGill core exercises combined with dual-task training versus McGill core exercises alone on performance outcomes in elite karate kata athletes aged 15–35 years. Core stability and cognitive-motor integration are essential components of karate performance; however, conventional core training does not address the cognitive demands encountered during competition.

Thirty-four eligible athletes will be randomly allocated into two groups: Group A will receive core–cognitive dual-task training, and Group B will receive conventional core strengthening exercises. The intervention will be conducted for four weeks, three sessions per week.

Outcome measures including core endurance (McGill Trunk Endurance Tests), dynamic balance (Star Excursion Balance Test), movement quality (Modified Karate Movement Quality Scoring Sheet), and dual-task performance (auditory and visual tasks with dual-task cost analysis) will be assessed at baseline and after four weeks.

The study aims to determine whether integrating cognitive tasks with core training provides additional benefits over conventional core strengthening in improving physical and executive performance outcomes in elite karate kata athletes.
