Patients were affected by IAD (mild-severe IAD), newly admitted or after admission and age 18 years or older
Patients were excluded from the study if they have any of these conditions: open sore on perineal skin caused by pressure / shear,
diagnosed skin disease of the perineum and known allergy influencing skin integrity.Known allergy or hypersensitivity to cleanser or zinc oxide barrier spray, other significant skin disease or dermatological problem, indwelling urinary catheterization
