Inclusion Criteria

Indication for TIPS
- Therapy-refractory ascites
- After the first variceal bleeding (early TIPS)
- Acute variceal bleeding (emergency TIPS)
- Recurrent variceal bleeding (> 72 h)
- Budd-Chiari syndrome acute or chronic
• Age =18 years
• Written consent of the patient

Exclusion Criteria

• Limited compliance
• Serious contrast medium intolerance
• Contraindication or contraindication according to the manufacturer's information and / or FDA for implanting a stent graph
• Patients unable to give consent
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
