Participants must present clinical indications that indicate the performance of smile correction surgery, which would be showing more than 2 mm of gingiva when smiling, having a short clinical crown and longer anatomical crown and/or altered passive eruption.Descriptors: Gingivia

Inclusion Criteria

Have another two millimeters of gingiva band visible to the smile.
-Show gum health.
-Have an indication to perform a smile correction in the upper arch of at least canine to canine (from teeth 13, 12, 11, 21, 22 and 23).
-Be healthy systemically.
-Agree to participate in the research by signing the Informed Consent Form and having received, verbally and in writing by the researchers, all information and clarifications.

Exclusion Criteria

Those who, even if they present indications for correction of the smile, need some postoperative rehabilitation procedure, due to the small size of the anatomical crown, and those who are allergic to any of the drugs used in the study (chlorhexidine, aqueous extract of propolis, will be excluded from the sample). , paracetamol, 2% mepivacaine with epinephrine 1:100,000).

It is expected to prove that the propolis aqueous extract mouthwash has good action in the healing process of gingival tissues, that it presents an antiplaque effect compatible with 0.12% chlorhexidine and that the topical use of propolis positively influences in the reduction of postoperative pain in gummy smile correction surgeries. As well as proving that low-power laser therapy has a beneficial effect on healing and postoperative pain control in patients undergoing surgery to correct gummy smile.
