ASA category I and II undergoing hip surgeries under spinal anesthesia who are hemodynamically stable and declared fit in preanesthetic checkup.
The patients in ASA III and IV category,with significant neurological, psychiatric, neuromuscular,cardiovascular,pulmonary,renal or hepatic disease or having any anatomic abnormality,infection at the site of injection,already a diagnosed case of chronic pain syndrome,on any prolonged opioid therapy,patients having coagulopathy,patients will be excluded if they have recieved any analgesia in last 24hrs before surgery, patients with history of previous or at present known case of psychiatric illness as pain score cannot be assessed,patient having alllergy to the study medication.

Name Time Method Duration of postoperative analgesiaTimepoint: Every hour till first 6hrs, 2 hourly in next 6hrs and 4 hourly in next 12 hrs.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method It involves recording of visual analogue scale(VAS) score, total doses of rescue analgesia in 24hrs,hemodynamic monitoring(HR,SBP,DBP,MAP,RR,spo2), side effects and complications , patient satisfactionTimepoint: 30min
