- •elective surgery of the upper/lower extremities (fractures),
- •surgery scheduled within the next 3 days,
- •ability to consent to participate,
- •presence of a signed informed consent document,
- •sufficient command of the German language

- •younger than 18 years, not able to consent,
- •insufficient command of the German language,
- •emergency surgeries and tumour-related surgeries,
- •not wanting to participate
