1. Age between 18-70 years
2. ASA grade I to II
3. Willing and able to give consent
4. Patients undergoing elective shoulder
arthroscopic repair surgeries
1. ASA > II .
2. Diabetics with neuropathies, presence of
other neuropathies involving brachial
plexus.
3. Uncontrolled hypertension.
4. Morbidly obese patients/ BMI > 40.
5. Patient refuse to give informed consent.
6. Known Allergy to any drug used in the
study.
7. Inability to give regional block due to
local site problem for example infection.
8. Drug dependence.
9. Patients on anticoagulants.
10. Long standing cardiac, hepatic and renal
disease.
11. Chronic treatment with calcium channel
blockers.
12. Patients with raised serum magnesium
levels.
13. Inability to communicate with investigator
or hospital staff.
