This study is randomized clinical trial designed to compare wound healing following surgical extraction in incision closure using conventional 3 0 silk suture and 3 0 silk sutures coated with chlorhexidine gel. A total of 54 participants will be randomly allocated into two groups. In the intervention group surgical wounds will be closed using 3 0 silk sutures coated with 0.2 percent chlorhexidine gel. In the control group wound closure will be done using conventional 3 0 silk sutures. Wound healing will be assessed using a standardized wound healing index Landry’s healing index on day 1 and postoperative day 3 and 7.The data collection will be done for 3 weeks. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of chlorhexidine coated silk sutures in improving wound healing outcomes.

- •healthy patients aged 20-40 years third molar region unilateral class 1 and 2 and position A and B vertical and mesioangular impaction patient willing to participate in the study patient posted for surgical removal of mandibular 3rd molar.
排除标准
- •patient with systemic disease affecting wound healing patient allergic to chlorhexidine infected or contaminated surgical site patient not willing to participate.
