简要总结
In modern science practices there is symptomatic treatment for
karnasrava (diffuse otitis externa) includes ear toileting followed by
medicated wicks, antibiotics and analgesics.
Where as in Ayurveda there are many formulations like
Karnapoorana, Karnadhoopan, Karnaprakshalan internal
medications has been explained.
Various drugs for karnasrava have been explored scientifically,
Panchvalkal taila karnapoorana was not studied yet. Hence hoping
this study contributes further to public health. I have decided to use
Panchvalkal taila karnapoorana in management of karnasrava
referred from Vangsen Samhita.

入选标准
- •Patient having classical sign and symptoms of Karnasrava.
- •Patients between 18 to 60 years of age group, irrespective of gender.
- •Unilateral or bilateral diffuse otitis externa.
- •Intact tympanic membrane.
排除标准
- •Patients having any other karnarogas than karnasrava.
- •Patient having any other ear diseases than Diffuse otitis externa.
- •Patient having systemic disease like DM, HTN , TB , CA ,Leprosy etc.
- •with complications which can lead to interference with the study.
- •Congenital anomalies of the ear.
- •Patient having perforated Tympanic membrane.
- •Patients diagnosed as suppurative otitis media, mastoiditis and cholesteatoma .
