Inclusion Criteria

Pregnant women between 28 + 0 and 36 + 6 weeks of gestation;
inpatient treatment due to imminent premature birth;
interdisciplinary (obstetrics and paediatrics) antenatal counselling done

Exclusion Criteria

missing consent; severe fetal malformation; possible postnatal palliative therapy; insufficient knowledge of German language; mental illness, lack of ability to consent

Proportion of subjects who do not formulate a preference;<br>Degree of desired participation in decisions at the limit of viability;<br>Preference of the subjects to involve other persons in the decision making process;<br>Assessment of risks and benefits of life-sustaining intensive care treatments;<br>Association of age, educational level, religion, marital status, etc. with the preference for life-sustaining intensive care Treatments;<br><br>The given endpoints are recorded by means of a questionnaire which has to be answered once and within 24 hours after the presentation of the case. The questionnaire is identical in both study arms and consists of selection questions and gradual questions (collected with a 5-point Likert scale). The participants have the opportunity to freely formulate important thoughts at the end of the questionnaire.
