1. Criteria for the selection of the patients will be based on the guidelines suggested by Joint National Committee.
2. Patients of stage 1 hypertension as per the 7th Joint National Committee guidelines.
3. Newly diagnosed cases of Essential Hypertension on 2 to 3 successive blood pressure measurements.
1. The patients with Ischemic Heart Disease, Coronary Heart Disease, Coarctation of Aorta, Renal Failure or any Endocrine Diseases.
2. Hypertension with cerebral complications e.g. hypertensive encephalopathy, cerebral hemorrhage, convulsive seizure.
3. Patients of stage 2 hypertension as per the 7th Joint National Committee guidelines.
4. Malignant hypertension.
5. Pregnant and Lactating female patients.
