Inclusion Criteria

Patients (men and women) in the age interval 18-80 years old with a history of migraines at least 12 months with a minimum rate of 4 attacks / days per month.

Exclusion Criteria

Malignant disease, pregnant women, patients with a history of acupuncture in the face, hands, feet and the front of the body in the previous 6 months, with a history of head injury or cringe spine, severe arrhythmias, heart failure, brain tumor, epilepsy, haemophilia patients participating other clinical trials within the previous 6 months, patients unable to distinguish between tension headache and migraine patients receiving anticoagulant therapy, patients taking Chinese herbs (Chinese herbal medicine).

Primary Outcome Measures

The primary objective of monitoring is to determine the frequency, duration and intensity of migraines. The intensity of migraine will be determined by visual analogue scale (Visual Analogue Scale, VAS hereinafter). Pain intensity ratings will be subject recorded in his diary during the whole project. At the same time we determined the percentage of patients with more than 50% reduction in the attack / migraine days for 4 weeks. Duration of the project is 36 weeks: 12 weeks treatment period + 24 weeks patient follow-up.

The secondary objective is monitoring the drop in intake migraine medications, evaluating the severity and course of migraine and quality of life, including psychosocial factors. To evaluate the quality of life questionnaire will be used MIDAS (Migraine Disability Assessment) questionnaire (visits W4, W8, W12, W24, W36). WHO Life satisfaction questionnaire is used for measuring the quality of life and life satisfaction.
