Randomly selected patients admitted in ENT ward with nasal pathology belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA)status I and II, aged between 18 and 55 years of either sex and willing to give written consent will be included in the study
Patient refusal
Any known hypersensitivity or contraindication to esmolol, dexmedetomidine,nitroglycerine,fentanyl
Uncontrolled hypertension
Cardiovascular diseases including conduction disturbances
Renal or hepatic dysfunction
Coagulation disorders
Patients on medications affecting coagulation system
Pregnant or lactating mothers
Paediatric patients
Patients on calcium channel blockers
Patients with history of significant neurological, psychiatric or neuromuscular disorders

Name Time Method Intraoperative blood lossTimepoint: After induction of anaesthesia, every 15mins for first hour and every 30 mins thereafter.

Name Time Method Duration of surgery, duration of controlled hypotension (min), number of patients treated with fentanyl (%), min fentanyl dose per patient (mcg), number of patients treated with nitroglycerine,min nitroglycerine used per patient (mg), hemodynamics intraoperatively,oxygen saturation (spo2) during controlled hypotension and any other adverse effects during study periodTimepoint: Hemodynamic monitoring will be recorded preoperatively, after induction of anaesthesia, after intubation,every 15 mins for the first hour and every 30 mins thereafter and after extubation
