Patients aged between 18 and 60 years, of either gender, belonging to ASA physical status I–II undergoing elective neurosurgery in supine position requiring general anaesthesia
Patients with previous history of stroke and/or myocardial infarction
Patients in whom subclavian vein could not be visualised
Patients on mechanical ventilation
Patients not having regular spontaneous breathing
Patients for emergency neurosurgical procedures
Patient refusal
Patients with peripheral vascular disorders
Patients with Autonomic nervous system disorders
