Brief Summary

In this study, Local application of Agnikarma by Suvarna or Tamra shalaka that will be heated to redhot over gas stove and performed with red hot shalakain bindu akruti at marked points till samyaka dagdha lakshanas ,Immediatelyafter Agnikarma aloe vera pulp will be applied over the site of Agnikarma. Thepatient will be advised to rest for half an hour and then sent home. He will beadvised to keep the area dry and clean. It will be given for 21 days. The observations will be made on 7th,14th and 21st day i.e. on subsequent sittings regarding the changes with thetreatment. Changes in symptoms will be recorded in the proforma of case sheetprepared for the study . Assessment will be done on the basis of reduced score of Criteria for Pain measurement by visual analoguescale (VAS), Stiffness, Tenderness, Scar.

Inclusion Criteria
  • Patients suffering from Kati shool (low back pain).
  • Patients suffering from lumbar spondylosis.
  • Patients of either sex between 40 to 60 years.
  • Willing & able to participate and complete the study.
  • Selection will be irrespective of gender, religion and other socio-economic status.
Exclusion Criteria

Patients suffering from Infective Pathology, Pott’s spine, Fracture, trauma, uncontrolled DM and Metastatic disease of spine.
