  • 1. Preterm and term neonates treated at the University of Gießen requiring a non-emergency peripheral vein access

排除标准

  • 1. Need for emergency peripheral vein access (septic shock, chest compression event)
  • 2. Known or anticipated difficult vein conditions, where venipuncture should be performed by most trained physician available
  • 3. hemodynamic instability (mean arterial blood pressure < gestational age)
  • 4. no informed consent of legal guardian
