Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Sixty patients of either sex and age more than 50 years attending Pain Clinic fulfilling following three criteria will be included in the study: history, physical examination and pain pattern consistent with osteoarthritis of knee; X\-ray knee joint findings corresponding with the patientâ??s clinical symptoms, failure to respond to six weeks of conservative treatment, not willing for surgery or waiting for surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients with known contraindications for genicular nerve block or intra\-articular knee injection; history of adverse reactions to local anaesthetics,steroids; previous history of genicular nerve block or intra\-articular injection of knee,arthroscopic lavage and debridement of the knee joint; previous knee surgery,meniscal tear, tendon damage, patient suffering from decompensated heart failure, pneumonia, dementia, rheumatological disorder and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
