Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •diagnosed cases of dyslipidemia on atorvastatin or rosuvastatin therapy in all doses prescribed by the clinician
Exclusion Criteria
- •patients in whom an additional statin therapy could be detrimental or additive for adverse effects like myopathy and raised liver enzymes were excluded. such categories include:-
- •Patients with h/o liver disease or hepatic failure.
- •Pregnant and lactating women.
- •Patients with h/o serious or hypersensitivity reactions to statins.
- •Patients with documented h/o coronary artery disease or other atherosclerotic disease.
- •Patients of familial hypercholesterolemia.
- •Patients taking other class of hypolipidemic drugs (fibrates, niacin) and taking other cardiac drugs like Verapamil and Amiodarone
- •Patients taking Immunosupressants, Azole antifungal agents, Protease inhibitors.
