diagnosed cases of dyslipidemia on atorvastatin or rosuvastatin therapy in all doses prescribed by the clinician
patients in whom an additional statin therapy could be detrimental or additive for adverse effects like myopathy and raised liver enzymes were excluded. such categories include:-
•Patients with h/o liver disease or hepatic failure.
•Pregnant and lactating women.
•Patients with h/o serious or hypersensitivity reactions to statins.
• Patients with documented h/o coronary artery disease or other atherosclerotic disease.
•Patients of familial hypercholesterolemia.
•Patients taking other class of hypolipidemic drugs (fibrates, niacin) and taking other cardiac drugs like Verapamil and Amiodarone
•Patients taking Immunosupressants, Azole antifungal agents, Protease inhibitors.
