Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • diagnosed cases of dyslipidemia on atorvastatin or rosuvastatin therapy in all doses prescribed by the clinician

Exclusion Criteria

  • patients in whom an additional statin therapy could be detrimental or additive for adverse effects like myopathy and raised liver enzymes were excluded. such categories include:-
  • Patients with h/o liver disease or hepatic failure.
  • Pregnant and lactating women.
  • Patients with h/o serious or hypersensitivity reactions to statins.
  • Patients with documented h/o coronary artery disease or other atherosclerotic disease.
  • Patients of familial hypercholesterolemia.
  • Patients taking other class of hypolipidemic drugs (fibrates, niacin) and taking other cardiac drugs like Verapamil and Amiodarone
  • Patients taking Immunosupressants, Azole antifungal agents, Protease inhibitors.
