1. Patients with differentiated thyroid cancer-all variants, Medullary thyroid carcinoma (Familial/Sporadic)who would undergo total or completion thyroidectomy with or without central compartment clearance and lateral neck dissection at TMH.
2. Age above 18 years.
3. Consenting patients willing to follow up at TMH.
1. Patients with Renal or Liver disease.
2. Patients with MTC as part of MEN 2a & 2b.
3. Patients suffering from Malabsorption, Musculoskeletal diseases & Hyperparathyroidism.
4. Patients on medications known to affect calcium metabolism, such as bisphosphonates, calcitonin, gallium nitrate, plicaycin, glucocorticoids.
