INCLUSION:
(1) the child with behavioral problems is 0-10 years old.
(2) the parents have indicated that they are concerned about the behaviour of the child.
(3) the child does not give evidence of serious developmental disorders (such as autism) or serious health impairments.
(4) the parents do not currently receive treatment for psychological problems, are not intelectually disabled and have mastered the Dutch language.
EXCLUSION:
(1) the child with behavioral problems is older than 10 years of age.

Name Time Method <p>Child behaviour:<br /><br>(1) Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) with 30 items (Goodman,<br /><br>2000).<br /><br>(2) Eyberg Child Behaviour Inventory (ECBI; Burns & Patterson, 2000), with 36<br /><br>items on parental perceptions of disruptive behaviour, including the intensity<br /><br>score (frequency of problems) and the problem score (number of problems).<br /><br>(3) Child Behaviour Check List - Teacher Report Form (CBCL-TRF; Achenbach,<br /><br>1991); 130 items to be completed by the teacher of the child.</p><br>

Name Time Method <p>Parenting behaviour:<br /><br>(1) Abbreviated Parenting Scale (PS; Arnold, O*Leary, Wolff & Acker, 1993).<br /><br>This 12-item questionnaire measures 2 dysfunctional discipline styles in<br /><br>parents: permissiveness and overreactivity.<br /><br>(2) Parental views on parenting (the Ouderlijke Opvattingen over Opvoeding or<br /><br>OO&O scale; Reith et al., 2006). This 11-item Dutch questionnaire measures<br /><br>parenting competencies and has been validated for the Netherlands.<br /><br><br /><br>Parental psychological problems:<br /><br>Abbreviated Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS; Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995),<br /><br>a 21-item questionnaire that assesses symptoms of depression, anxiety and<br /><br>stress in adults.</p><br>
