1) Age more than or equal to 18 years
2) Patients with unilateral primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction leading to chronic dacryocystitis
1) Bilateral nasolacrimal duct obstruction
2) Secondary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction
3) Canalicular and common canalicular obstruction
4) Acute dacryocystitis
5) Patients on topical or systemic antibiotics within 1 week prior to surgery
6) Blepharitis, conjunctivitis
7) Nasal disorders leading to nasolacrimal duct obstruction
8) Previous nasal or nasolacrimal surgery
9) Patients who require intraoperative use of silicone tube
