Inclusion Criteria
1)Systemically healthy patients in the age range of 30-55 years.
2) Patients reporting with periodontitis having < 5mm probing pocket depth indicated for scaling and root planing and which do not need any resective and regenerative surgical procedure.
3)There should be atleast 20 remaining teeth in the whole mouth except third molars.
4)Informed consent for treatment to be given.
5)Patients without any systemic conditions and willingness to participate and to follow up until the end of the study.
Exclusion Criteria
1)Acute infection
2)Medically compromised patients
3)Uncooperative patients
4)Smokers
5)Pregnant and lactating females
6)Non-compliant patients for oral hygiene maintenance
